David M. Curry is currently the Tax Commissioner for Henry County Georgia. First elected in 2008, David’s is the first tax commissioner’s office to be recognized for its efforts in performance excellence and recipient of the Georgia Focus Recognition Award. (This is the first step in the Georgia Oglethorpe Award process.)
Born and raised in Henry County, Georgia, David Curry is a 1988 graduate of Meadow Creek Academy. He continued his education at Mercer University where he earned a Bachelors of Applied Science degree.
His business career began with the Ford Motor Company, where he became Six Sigma Certified; He was one of just twenty-one selected from a group of over a thousand candidates for the Skilled Trades. David has also earned other certifications, including having his auctioneer license (active) as well as his real estate license (currently inactive.) David Curry is also the co owner of Curry & Echols Pickles, Inc.
As an elected official, David is obviously active in his community. This involvement includes:

Membership in professional organizations includes Constitutional Officers Association Georgia (COAG), Georgia Association of Tax Officials (GATO), and Tax Commissioners’ Technology Development Council of Georgia (TC Tech), where he serves as Chairman.
David Curry is married to his high school sweetheart, Nicole. They have four children, Michaela 15, Jacob 13, Kennedy 11, and Caleb 9. The Curry’s are members of Timberridge Presbyterian Church
